Students at the Royal College of Art recently celebrated the culmination of two years of study by presenting their final projects at the college's annual MA degree show. With a wide range of projects investigating form language for existing brands, sustainability and some even bordering on fine art, the degree show featured the works of 15 students. Chevrolet has unveiled its new seventh-generation Corvette, the Stingray, at the 2013 North American International Auto Show. The Stingray's exterior and interior have been completely redesigned from the outgoing model. A stainless steel bar splits the broad grille horizontally at the base of the sleek hood, which is raked with lines and air intake vents.
BMW and Local Motors have come together to launch the Urban Driving Experience Challenge, which launches on 25 September. The contest challenges designers to create the premium vehicle features and functions that will shape the urban driving experience in 2025 and beyond. The Mega Cities of the future will offer a number a new challenges for the automotive industry, such as increasing urbanization, rapid population growth, changing infrastructures and environmental pollution.
